Welcome to the Little River web site. The Little River Landcare Group Inc. is situated in the Little River catchment of the Macquarie River valley in Central Western NSW. The Little River drains 258,000ha from over 300 farms and centres on the small townships of Yeoval and Cumnock (see Little River Catchment map)

After the development of our 'Catchment Management Plan' (CMP) in 1998, we have evolved into a reputable group with many accomplishments along the way. Our CMP is now being implemented and we feel we can optimise the many opportunities presented by the improving attitudes to natural resource management in our region.

To see how we are doing it look at our three stage planning process and our biodiversity and socio-economic surveys. Alternatively, we have a Catchment Management brochure which is a good shortcut to our achievements and priorities for future action.

This site is available to landholders, industry and community residents, for information relevant to our catchment and natural resource management. There is information about the natural flora and fauna to the Little River area, information sheets on sustainable management practices, news on seminars and happenings within the area and a complete reference to all materials collated by our organisation.
