About the Little River Landcare Group

The Little River Landcare Group formed in late 1997 as a response to the need to form an integrated approach to natural resource management within our Catchment area. Little River Landcare Group represents the 14 individual Landcare groups within our catchment. This has resulted in an organised and focused plan for the health of our Catchment.

The constant theme of early and later committee members has been that the plan development and its subsequent implementation must be managed and driven by the Catchment community. It is far better to have our roadmap and be responsible for our own future directions rather than follow, or be told, to follow someone else's. To this point Little River has been true to its ideal.
